Presto Shears sells exceptional quality scissors and hair cuttery tools for salons and they needed an updated website. A friend landed the gig and asked me to sub in as a designer for the site, and the brand. Together we built a new e-commerce platform with Hugo and Netlify, and I worked on a brand refresh.
There were only a few working days to spend on the logo so I blitzed through a few sheets of paper sketching thumbnails. The shape of the shears Abbas sold was really unique, and I found it resembled the P in Presto - problem solved. We went back and forth a few times before landing on a clean logo that fits well in any salon.
I don't know if Johnny and Abbas ever finished the site, but I delivered on the branding. Abbas was happy - that's all I cared about.
